Abby Hathaway Smith graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art Photography in 2003.  Abby started working with a wedding photographer based in Cincinnati, OH in her senior year. There she worked as a lead photojournalist and learned about the business.  She started Hathaway Photography the following year.  While shooting weddings, she built up the clientele and in May of 2011 partnered with Jen Simpson to open Limelight Photo Works, photographing both weddings and family portraits.  In October of 2014, Abby got married and moved to northern Michigan.  Hathaway Photography is now based in Gaylord, Michigan, but still also works occasionally in Ohio with Jen and Limelight Photo Works.
